House Centipedes...

Every time there's a centipede in my living room, my mother becomes completely irrational, starts screaming "IT'S RUNNING AFTER ME," and begins squealing like a dog being hit by a car.

I used to be afraid of them; now I just laugh at her. :x

I actually tried keeping one as a pet once to get over my fear but it died before I could get close to it.

They really big-ass bugs that run around really fast on thier millions of long legs.

No, he's from Indiana. Rosti's the British one, although they have a tendency to be equally haughty and obnoxious, so it's an understandable confusion.

no I'm midwest, but the fact remains I've seen a shitton of bugs and I've only seen a centipede like once.  Same with millipedes.
If anything we have an asian beetle problem here where these things that look like ladybugs come around except they're orange instead of red and they get fucking EVERYWHERE and they stink awfully when they die.

I'm 100% sure I'm completely tocophobic. Every time I make out with mah boytoy I always have to remind him "DON'T YOU DARE GET ME PREGNANT AAAAAAA." I made him take me to Planned Parenthood, found out that birth control isn't 100% reliable, so I made him get condoms too. I've considered abusing the birth control pills in a way that messes up my hormones and the doctors will be baffled enough to make me sterile.

Just kidding about that last part, but holy crap I don't want to get pregnant. ;-;

Anyway consider yourself lucky. Although the Asian beetles are indeed annoying. Nothing to be afraid of though.
