Tina's comments link also lead to here, by the way.  :-\

Anyway.  Never been a huge fan of Alanis Morissette, and this album gives me a good reason to not listen to her more often.  The music doesn't appeal to me, and yeah like you said it's slow compared to her old stuff.  Your review said it all, good job.

Fixed.

I've only ever liked the little bit of Alanis Morissette you showed me Freeze, mainly You Ought to Know.  From the sounds of your review, the direction she's heading is probably one I'd not enjoy all that much, since I generally avoid slower music.

Oh, sorry about that.

Yeah. I don't really know why I like the song, but if that's what the rest of the album is like, I don't know how much I'll like it, either. It seems to rely too heavily on her voice, and her voice has never been the greatest.

Yeah, most likely not, and a lot of her older fans are like that, which is why her newer stuff has not been nearly as successful.

Also, it's "Alanis's", not "Alanis'". It's only ' after the s on pluralized nouns, and Alanis is singular.

I never really knew what the actual rule was on that. Thanks. I'll change it. I'll also reword that sentence.

I think we should still have editing, basically because it's a lot easier to post the content cleaner in the first place that way. There's no reason why people can't make comments on an article and how to improve it after the editing has taken place, but I still think editing is a necessary thing.

I agree. How would we set something like that up?

Having a ton of people posting comments, correcting every single article looks a bit... unprofessional. :x

We could put it in a hidden thread specifically for suggestions. Also make them constructive, which may look more professional.

If it's hidden, chances are, the topic-poster can't see it. :x

Wait, you can't edit an article yourself after it's been posted, right?
So nevermind.

Well, we could have specific editors with a hidden board to do a brunt of it. If anyone else notices something, they can comment the author or an editor privately?

Wait, what? If the board can only be seen by editors, then it means an editor would have to read the article to find a mistake.
And if an editor finds a mistake... they should fix it themselves, rather than posting it on a board for another editor to do it. :x

I can edit the article, but no one else without the Wordpress admin login can.

But what makes that necessary? There's no need for multiple editors. One person with a good eye for grammatical mistakes who has a pretty good grasp on grammar and spelling and everything can do all of the editing work necessary just fine, especially if the pace at which articles flow in stays relatively low. Making a panel of editors with a hidden board only adds bulk to the entire process and makes it take a lot longer for an article to go from the drawing board to the content area. I see no reason why an occasional PM to me pointing out the errors in articles wouldn't suffice.

Are editors just going to do spelling/grammar? I figured they'd look at general flow and making stuff sound better as well, which doesn't really have a right/wrong. It usually has discussion involved. :x

I meant other people as in general readers of the article after it got posted. :x

Am I just not understanding what you guys mean by a hidden board? What good would it do if the board was hidden?

But if we want to not only look professional, but also look a little more laid-back than other review sites, should we really be obsessing over whatever sounds better? As long as the article flows decently, I don't bother with nitpicking. If there's something that truly serves as a detriment to anyone reading the article, then I should easily be able to pick it up and thus it should be fixed anyway.

True, true. Alright then. Shall we just PM you edits instead, then?
