The Dream Thread
« on: May 25, 2009, 12:38:25 PM »
Hey guys.  I figured we should have this because dreams can be wacky and interesting enough to read.  If you guys at any time have an interesting/wacky/insane/what-have-you dream, you are obligated to post them in this thread.  You have to.  If you don't, you will no longer be capable of having children and if you already have children they will shrivel up and die.  That's right.  Die.  You don't want that, do you?

Anyways, today I had the most bizarre dream.  I cannot remember too much from it but I must have been in some place like a stadium.  It was a large public place and I recall walking up stairs a few times.  May have even gone to the bathroom at one point.  Wherever I was, was empty though.  It was just me there.

All I can really remember is that at one point I am talking directly to Colin Meloy, the lead singer of the Decemberists.  Then later we were exchanging text messages (which is odd cause I still don't have a cell phone in real life, but do in the dream) but the text messages never make sense and his messages would only consist of one word.

Then at one point I am randomly holding a Wii game that has a sparkly pony on it and I get pissed off and come to the conclusion that Colin conned me into buying it.

I woke up around this point.

What the hell?  I wonder what this all means.  Heh.

Feel free to post your dreams!  This could get interesting...

I already made the dream thread! >:( I'll copy+paste my dream from that thread though.

To quickly sum it up I had a dream where was in a video game RPG esque world and I had to fight/shoot dinosaurs in an elaborate forest. My mission was to rescue some guy a dinosaur kidnapped from town. I *think* the dinosaurs had dialogue too but I can't remember.

The weird thing was the towns were the most dangerous places to be. Dinosaurs could attack but you weren't allowed weapons inside the town, so you couldn't stay in one area for too long. In my dream I was in a school cafeteria filled with kids for some reason. I stayed there too long and dinosaurs came in and ripped off the head of one of my party members (I think she was some girl in a school uniform) and none of the cafeteria kids seemed to notice. Whenever my head got ripped off I'd go back to the save point and start again.

I woke up while fighting a triceratops. :(

I also once had this dream that terrorist aliens were attacking a small village, dropping bombs. I had a handful of men and one of them was this annoying kid in my class who doesn't stop walking around the classroom. Frustrated, I let the aliens blow me and my men up. After I died my dream went to a game-completion screen. This dream makes sense though, it reflects how annoyed I am with that kid.

Well, I am forgetful! >:(

Odd dream though, but yeah, I can understand why you dreamt it in a way.

last night I dreamed you didn't love me.
actually, I can't remember any of my dreams for the most part.
It's like, I'll wake up, go "wow, that was wacky", and then completely forget what I was dreaming.
I'll physically comment on it, but the next second I cannot remember, it's so frustrating.
There's nothing I can do but man,
I wish you weren't here with me

I always have the same problem!  It's very rare that I will actually remember a dream.

I could start a dream journal and get in the habit of writing in it as soon as I wake up.  I remember somebody in my class saying she did that and it helps her remember her dreams.  May be worth a shot.

All I ever remember is that most of my dreams make me wake up going "Jesus Christ I have a fucked up subconscious."

I haven't had any dreams I could recall lately.  Though the day of the Spain Trip I recall having an "amazingly awesome cool" dream, but I forgot it by later in the day. :'(

This is odd!  I remember random bits and pieces of my dream again!

I remember walking around in a mall with my friend.  Then we get outside there is this group of bigger tough people and they call us Perfect Gentlemans, closely follow behind, then one of them gives me the weakest punch ever on my shoulder.  I was just like "What?!  Seriously?"

Then I think another one attacked me and it was really pathetic.  I threw some blue thing that was shaped like a tube (can't remember what it was) and it scared them off.

Another part of the dream was where I was with a completely different friend and we were taking shopping carts and riding on them in a parkade until some security guard tells us to stop.  Then, I was with some girl all of a sudden that just sorta replaced my friend.  Her name was Lindsay (Mk's girlfriend?).  Anyways, we took the chain of shopping carts and pushed them down the stairs and ran into some random girls from my old high school that I didn't particularly like.

Then as I woke up, the last few things I was thinking was something about trannies and my upcoming birthday party.  No idea.

Because you aren't as fucked up awesome as me.

Maybe it's a sign, that I should continue my car pirate series. In the dream I swear I had a resemblance to Captain Bob.

YES DO THAT

But only if you manage to introduce yellow robots somehow.

Isn't this the second time you've dreamt of Lindsay?

the yellow robots are obviously symbollic of lego pieces.

to be perfectly honest, the only dreams i've remembered recently have been awkwardly erotic and i'd much rather forget them. if i have any cool dreams i'll let you guys know. :(

That actually makes a little-bit of sense since I'm making lego people in computer animation class. The main feature I remember about the robots is that they had claws. One clamped onto my leg in my dream but I managed to wiggle my way out of it.

That reminds me, I should start my dream journal.

I only remember my dreams when I can confuse them with memories. I know they are dreams because I have a horrible memory and forget all the real ones.
