A few days ago I "lost" my DS lite with pokemon diamond in it. I searched EVERYWHERE in the house. So, barely a week passes and I'm like "EFF THIS" and decide to go get the new DSi (I couldn't believe it either. I seriously thought that I'd be the last person to own one). Yesterday, I go out and blow all my money on the DSi. Guess what happens later that night? I find my DS Lite in the couch even though I thought I destroyed that thing looking for my old DS. So, I'm most likely going to return it within the week... somehow.
My first impression of the DSi was that it felt nice. Love the matte stuff. I got black, by the way, the blue one looked delicious and I was afraid I was going to eat it on accident. As always, turning on any DS for the first time makes you CONFIGURE THAT SHIT BEFORE YOU USE IT. ...So I did! I did that and, goddamn, what was the first thing it showed me? DSi Camera. NONONONONO, I want to play my game, not snap a picture of my face.

Honestly, my cell phone takes better pictures.

Face recognition is horrible, no mater the lighting, conditions, etc... Also my brother and I aren't related.

So, I had to sit all through those stupid instructions. Very, very, lame. SUDDENLY FILTERS. TONS OF THEM. Maybe fun if you're feelin' a little bored. Otherwise, stinky. Especially, the facial recognition ones.
Basically, it takes pictures and has gimmicks.
The next thing I see is DSi Sound. OH WOW HEY LOOK MUSIC I'M GOING TO PUT SOME ON THERE.......................................................... WTF AAC FILES ONLY I had to go download iTunes which was a hassle in itself and then convert them which was a pain because that means wasted storage and iTunes doesn't wanna put converted file into a folder where I can easily access them NOPE! It has to put them all over the place in my music drive!!
DSi Sound is one of the most ugliest things I've ever seen. I guess it's kind of cute in a way.

See DSi sound in action, but not really because I took out the SD card.

There are equalizers. Just four. Instrumental, echo, radio, and eight-bit. A LOT of visualizations, too. One of them is excitebike and the other is a Mario coin-collecting mini-game.
Not much about it. It plays music and has gimmicks.
One thing I like is that you can take out game cards while on the DSi menu (also in video). I forget if the other DS's could do that, so if someone could fill me in, that'd be great. You ca also re-arrange stuff on the DSi menu by dragging shit around.
