Part 2
Part One:
Kylie loved the forest. She'd been wandering around a
pine-filled canyon for two hours, trying to escape for just
a moment. She was on a camping trip with the Young Woman's
of Barnette Third Ward; it was their yearly trip. However,
Kylie didn't at all enjoy being with her peers, and she got
the impression that they didn't enjoy being with her, so she
often wandered around and got lost for a few hours. She
didn't get in trouble; Mormons were usually tolerant of
stuff like that. For that, Kylie was happy. She
wandered around the partly hidden path for a while, going
deeper into the woods. The coolness of the air felt thick,
and good. Pine needles muffled her footsteps, so Kylie
could better hear the sounds of the woods. Birds chirping,
bushes rustling... it was perfection.
A twig snapped behind her. Kylie froze, afraid to
move. She'd never heard that before. Her first thought was
that someone followed her from the cabins. That was
annoying. Gritting her teeth in indignation, she spun
around to confront the person. There was no one there.
Puzzled, she stood there for a moment. It must have been
an animal. She kept on walking. Another twig snapped.
Kylie jumped in surprise and spun around, determined to see
what was going on. At that moment, when she focused her
vision, she immediately regretted it.
There, staring at her with pale blue eyes, stood a
person, a stranger. He was repulsive. One eye seemed to
bulge out of his head, while the other shrank back in his
skull. His left ear was two inches higher then the right.
The nose on that face looked as if someone took a brick and
pummeled him with it. Thin, wiry lips were curved in a
frown. The creature hissed. Kylie stood frozen, unable to
move.
The thing ran toward her, with fierce determination in
its eyes. He raised a fist. Kylie screamed right before he
made contact with her head. Everything went black.
"Hey, UNF, where's Mark?" Alex called out. He sat on
the couch pouting, a GCN controller in his hand. "How can
we have a Melee Tourney without him?" He shook his head,
thick curls of brown hair bounced around. UNF poked her
head in the room.
"I don't know. Besides, he doesn't even like Melee."
She frowned in thought and retreated to the kitchen. Alex
scowled at the television.
"How does anyone not like Melee?" he muttered to
himself. "Hey, Freeze, want to play Melee?" he called out.
"Totally. In a minute. I'm doing my hair! And I'm
getting like, a million texts, so I can't be bothered," a
feminine voice replied. Alex threw down the paddle in
frustration. Another time, when Mark gets back, he thought.
Just in that minute, the front door of the cabin opened up.
Alex walked over to see who it was, and grinned.
"Mark! You're back!" He nearly hugged the grotesque
looking guy. "Let's play some -" Alex cut off. Dropped by
the door, lay a body. A short girl, about his age was
unconscious. Mark had apparently dragged her to the cabin.
"What the freak?" He said. "What happened?" Mark
stared at him with no expression.
"She was being an idiot, walking alone in the woods.
So naturally, I knocked her out and brought her here." Alex
looked at him, bewildered. He went over to the girl for a
closer inspection. He glanced up at Mark in surprise.
"A Mormon? You brought a MORMON GIRL in our cabin?!"
he nearly shouted.
"A Mormon girl? Where?!" A lanky, British guy ran
into the room to look. "Can we dissect her? Pip pip,
cheerio! I'll get the lye solution and the knives right
away!" He ran to the body and looked at her. He was
delighted with this new surprise.
"No, Rosti. I'm not going to have you start dissecting
Mormon girls in my cabin!" Alex snarled. Mark chuckled.
"I can't wait until she wakes up, oh the fun we'll
have...!" He grinned.
"What is all this noise? I thought I told you guys
we'd be living by the rules! I posted them up right on the
fridge, can't you people read?" A tall teenager with long,
blond hair strolled in. "What is with all this ruckus,
anyway?"
"GF, Mark found a MORMON girl!" Rosti said cheerily.
GF looked at Rosti with wide eyes and blinked.
"A MORMON?! I'M STANDING IN THE SAME ROOM AS A
MORMON?! GET HER OUT. NOW. AAAAA." GF
screamed as he flailed his arms. He ran out of the room
shouting incoherently.
"GF, SHUT UP!" UNF cried out. "Who cares about a
Mormon girl anyway?" She walked in with the rest of the
group. Another girl followed UNF in, she was just a short
and skinny, and had that same rebellious look in her eye.
"Just let her back out in the wild, no one wants her
here." The girl following UNF said.
"But Sparky, this could be fun!" Mark refuted. Sparky
scowled at Mark, but didn't say anything. Alex rubbed his
temples to help him think.
"Alright, as much as I don't like the idea of having a
Mormon in my cabin, I guess we'll have to take her in until
she wakes up. Then we'll get rid of her." he said. The
others glared at him.
"Let's ask Freeze's opinion," Rosti suggested. "I,
myself, would like to keep her here for further study. We
already know that GF doesn't want her anywhere near the
premises. Tip the vote, shall we?" Everyone nodded. Rosti
smiled, congratulating himself for a job well done.
"Freeze! We need you here!" Mark called out. Muffled
footsteps came down the main stairs, and a rotund boy with
an obvious fashion sense climbed down as if he were king.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Do we keep the Mormon girl, or not?" Asked Rosti.
Freeze, paused for a minute and ran down to get a look. He
screamed when he saw her.
"Look at that gorgeous hair! Of course we're keeping
her! How someone manages that in the woods is a mystery I
intend to solve." he said. Everyone else rolled their eyes.
"Typical Freeze..." Alex muttered. They all looked
down at the unconscious girl.
Well, this might be interesting... Alex thought to
himself. Yeah, this is going to be VERY weird.
