I realize that. That was more of a DOS vs. Unix argument than a Mac vs. Windows argument, since I would assume what Rosti was talking about was Terminal. If I was truly using Unix as a reason, I would have to recommend Linux because it's a better implementation.

I still don't see how the Windows UI could be considered better, but maybe. I'm very familiar with both platforms, and I've always felt more at home and like I know exactly what I'm doing on Mac while I haven't ever been too sure on Windows. Concealed installers and vague file paths bother me.

That's more the internals though. By UI I mean the desktop and such. I consider that clearer and possibly more intuitive than the Mac's.

Ah. I was talking about, like, installer's UIs and such. I thought you meant the UI of both the desktop and the utilities.

It probably is clearer on Windows, a little.

My math teacher read all of these out loud in class a few days ago. So yeah, I win.

Some good stuff.
I am he
As you are he
As you are me
And we are all together

I'd heard all of these by sixth grade. So HA.

Clearly, you are the better man. I accept defeat.

By the way, rule #11 is the best and is usually true.
I am he
As you are he
As you are me
And we are all together

I heard them from a teacher who then later died on a school field trip in a rafting accident. :X

So you're saying we're all going to die?

Why do I suddenly feel like I'm trapped in an internet version of The Ring?

Bill Gates said them, and he's not dead yet. Unless he's, you know, a malevolent spirit. Which doesn't seem too far-fetched, actually.

A bit harsh really, when you consider the vast fortunes he's given to charities.

I wasn't being completely serious. But really, he couldn't not give money away. No one would like him if he hoarded $50 billion for himself and didn't help anyone with it.

Well yeah, but even in terms of the money he has he's given a lot of it away.
That said, when you have that much money you probably begin to run out of things to buy with it.

Not to sound over-cynical here, but it is also a tax write-off.

Well, it's not like he's in danger of running out.

I never knew these rules were Bills. I'd heard the last one as a quotation of his, and the others seem to be, fuck, common sense? If I don't make $50 billion by following these, I'm suing.
