Found a band or artist that you like and think members on here might like as well? Know of an upcoming television performance or anything else that you want to tell other people to watch? Has a band or artist that you want to talk about released a new album, or is his/her/their new album going to be released soon? Don't be shy. Post all of these things in this thread.

Please do not include links to illegal uploads or music files in your posts in this thread. If you wish to share these files with other people on the forum, contact them personally. Okay, sure. Los Campesinos is an incredibly happy, catchy Welsh (IIRC) indie band, with awesome, clever lyrics. Comparisons have been drawn to The Go! Team.

Also, Maybeshewill is a mathrockesque band that basically uses the winning formula used in 65days One Time For All Time. Nice, semihaunting melodies of piano or atmospheric synth and intense, often breakbeatesque percussion, finished off with some cool movie monologue samples. Good stuff. :)

I've recently come upon a band called 'Maybeshewill'. They're instrumental, and a lot like 65daysofstatic, but a bit less electronic and experimental. In any case, they're really good, and they have a ton of full songs up on their last.fm.

Edit: go away Alex. >:(

EDIT: Sorry, I wasn't sure which country's rules we were using. I've gotten their stuff from Last. Thanks everyone.

I quite like this Maybeshewill stuff, thanks dudes. I can't exactly find any of their stuff from my usual sources, though. So if anyone would mind sending me an instant message...

Also, all of you need to listen to Opeth, I demand it. :x

Doesn't it have the artist name (Maybeshewill) in front?

Morbis, you gave me the funniest mental image of Paris Hilton's boyfriend convincing her to make an audio sex tape. Yeah, it's a song by Maybeshewill.

I'd like to reccomend Flobots to anyone who has listened to and liked Deltron 3030, because they're actually sorta similar.

I've only heard one of their songs, and that was on some Internet-radio station. D:

I LOVE Deltron 3030, but it's in large part because of who's in the group and I've not found anything like them. But I shall give it a look.

Also, I'd like to recommend MC Frontalot. I know most of you fellas aren't rap fans in any sense, but after doing some research into other streams besides "gangsta" rap, it was obviously only a matter of time before I ran into nerdcore. He's got great flow and I just like the way he sounds. Besides the fact that he's got a great sound, if you spend the time to deconstruct his lyrics, he's very, very clever.

This is Penny Arcade's Theme song done by MC Frontalot with the lyrics deconstructed by the writers of PA, as well as MC Frontalot.

I agree, Deltron is amazing, and even Del's solo stuff doesn't compare.

Flobots is more message-oriented than all spacetechnofreaky like Deltron, but IMO, they sound pretty alike.

I'm on their Myspace and the first likening I've got to them is actually Linkin Park, at least if you disregard their message.

EDIT: Upon further review, yes, these guys are VERY good. Reminds me of the Guy Who's Not Mike Shinoda in Fort Minor. I see NO resemblence to Deltron, but damn, good call. All the lyrics are current events, not futuristic stuff. But I've only hear Fight With Tools. Their Platypus stuff could be different. Deltron, after all, was just one album.

Okay, Flobots is really good (though I don't think there's any similarity do deltron as well), so I'm going to look into them.

Okay, I have NO idea where to put this and I don't think it warrants its own thread. But I've got a request. I really have the need for something with serious cello in it. Like Rob Dougan, or Battle in the Forgotten City from FFVII: AC, but obviously not those. Does anyone have anything they can recommend?

I'm not tuned up enough with that sort of music to be able to say when something is cello and when something isn't.

I recommend Final Fantasy to Dave especially. His music is really nice. Almost reminds me of a musical. :x

Please, you are SO last week. I was listening to him from before you were born, son!

Also, if you find any of his albums in store (the only store I use for music) let me know, I've only ever heard him over YouTube. He does a Stars cover that is to die for.
